Community Defibrillator

The Parish Council were successful in obtaining a grant from the British Heart Foundation for a community defibrillator. They also purchased the telephone kiosk from BT to house the defibrillator and its cabinet.

The defibrillator is located outside Holy Trinity Church at the corner of Church Road and Mill Lane.  The cabinet is unlocked and the defibrillator is ready for use by the emergency services or whoever needs it.

You do not need specific training on how to use it as specific instructions are given via the machine and the emergency services.

If you suspect someone is having a heart attack you should always call 999 in the first instance and they will tell you how to proceed. If you need to use the defibrillator they will guide you on what exactly you need to do.

The Parish Councillor responsible for regularly checking the defibrillator is Councillor Andy Blake (Tel 07984 297818)
