Being a Parish Councillor

PARISH COUNCILLOR VACANCIES
Would you like to make a difference in your community?
Uffington Parish Council currently has two vacancies for Parish Councillors and is seeking local residents who would like to become involved in helping shape the future of the parish.
Being a Parish Councillor is a rewarding opportunity to:
•  Be a voice for the local community
•  Represent the views and interests of residents
•  Help make decisions that affect the parish
•  Work with local groups and organisations
•  Contribute ideas and support projects that improve village life
You do not need previous council experience – just an interest in your community, a willingness to get involved, and the ability to attend council meetings.
To be eligible, you must live or work within the parish area.
The vacancies will be filled by co-option following an interview process. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to meet with councillors, and successful candidates will be considered for co-option at the Parish Council meeting on Monday 13 July 2026.
